Match Stats of Aus Vs RSA ODI series, 3rd Match
South Africa won the 1st two games of 5 match series very convincingly. Now it’s time for the Aussies to pull up their socks for the next match to keep the series alive, Australia must be missing their key bowlers, Starc and Faulkner but this can’t be an excuse to lose this badly. In 1st game they couldn’t defend the total of 300 and in this match, chasing a total of 362 and half of your team is gone back to the pavilion in 20 overs, the chase never took off from the beginning. Faf, Rossouw and Duminy played really well on a bouncy track and took full advantage of Australia’s inexperienced bowling line-up and African bowlers later on hit the right areas on the batting friendly pitch and seamers shared 8 wickets between them.
Now it’s time for the next game at Kingsmead, Durban. Both teams have played 7 times against each other on this ground, Australia won 5 times, which goes in its favor. South Africa would love to seal the series winning this game and on the other end No. 1 ODI team will try its level best to keep it alive.

There are few players which are in our list but not playing on this tour AB De Villiers, Chris Morris, James Faulkner and Shaun Marsh.
Players to watch out for:-
Quinton De Cock- Not only his superb performance in 1st ODI, instead of that he hit 3 big ODI tons and 2 half centuries this year in his 14 ODIs. He played only match at kingsmead and scored 109 runs. He plays a role of wicket keeper for his team, so more chances of getting some extra points with stumping, run outs and catches than others. He is also an opening batsman so he gets the most balls to play. You should not be hesitated spending 9.5 points on this valuable player and even you can select him either as a captain or vice captain.
Faf Du Plesis:- Faf hasn’t been consistent with bat this year but his last performance showed, form is temporary and class is permanent. His last match performance can make you to think to select him in your team sparing 9.5 points on him.
Imran Tahir- In year 2016 he already has taken 23 wickets so far with an economy rate of just over 5, he took 5 wickets in 2 matches at Kingsmead with an economy rate of 4.5 which goes in his favor but his average of 27.85 in home conditions goes against him but you can take a risk to spend your 9 credits seeing his performance on this ground.
Kagiso Rabada- His recent performance in all formats has been really good, took 17 wickets in last 10 ODIs with an average of below 5, performance of him in last game was fabulous, where he took couple of wickets at crucial time. You can pick him in your team as a strike bowler. Spending only 8 points on a player like him, is not a bad option at all.
Aaron Finch- In 2016 he looked in form in ODI format and scored over 550 runs so far with 5 half centuries and 1 century, his record against SA with an average of almost 50 also gives him an edge to pick him in your fantasy team. 9 points can be spent looking at his recent performance.
George Bailey- Looking at his performance in Sri Lanka and in 1st game too, will surely make him favorite to pick in team but his inconsistent strike rate in recent matches can force you to think twice but spending only 8.5 pts on this valuable middle order player will be a smart choice.
Adam Zampa- Spending only 8.5 bugs on this young talented boy will not at all be a big deal, he is the only player in recent Australian team who hasn’t gone wicket less before this series with a good economy rate but his poor performance in last 2 ODIs, can make you to think picking another bowler instead of him.
David Warner:- Spending 10.5 fantasy pts on this big man who is not at all consistent with bat this year can force you to think on him, but he is a quick and huge scoring player when he keeps going, so you can take a chance on him if you have enough points left. His performance in last 3 ODIs make him favorite to pick in your team.
Matthew Wade:- He comes at no. 7 for Australia in shorter form, so he doesn’t get so many balls to score. In last 10 ODIs, 2 times he didn’t even get a chance to bat and in other 3 games he couldn’t get more than 10 balls but whenever he got a chance he made an impact, so you can take a chance to spend 8 points if you are short of points, as he will also earn some extra points for you from his wicket-keeping.
Travis Head:- He is very new in his national team and hasn’t made any big impact on International level yet, rather than playing a good knock in last game, you can elect him for your playing 11 seeing his blistering knock in T20I against Sri Lanka in SL.
Mitchell Marsh:- He has been very good with both bat and ball for his team in this year taking 15 wickets with ball and also making 2 fifties and a ton, so selecting him and spending 9 points on him will not be a big deal. An all-rounder like him must be in your team.
Jean Paul Duminy:- He hasn’t been good with bat this year but his last knock can make him favorite to include him in your team and he is also useful with ball, whenever he gets an opportunity to bowl, he provides crucial break-throughs to his team.
Steven Smith:- He is in form batsman for Australia making 5 times over fifty runs in last 10 ODIs but he failed to score in both the games of this tour so it’ll be a tough choice to spare 11 points on this big man.
John Hastings:- He is also a good all-rounder option if you are short of points, he took 11 wickets in last ODI series against Sri Lanka where other seamers failed to make their mark and taking 3 wickets with an economy of under six in a previous game, where RSA scored over 350, make him favorite to be a part of your final 11 and he is also handy with bat and plays good knock whenever he gets a chance as he shown in both the previous games.
Dale Steyn:- Dale Steyn is back in national ODI team after almost one year and bowled not bad in last couple of matches on the flats tracks, his admirers can take him in their team, seeing his good performance in last test series against the Kiwis. He will only cost you 8 points.
